“It is a great honor to lead the INFORMS RMP Section and to work with this extraordinary team of thought leaders, practitioners and data scientists who share a passion for operations research and analytics,” said Walczak. “INFORMS provides educational and networking opportunities for professionals who are looking to expand their careers, accompanied by a broad range of resources available to members.
“The RMP Section, in particular, offers a great information exchange forum for practitioners and researchers,” noted Walczak. “We advance development of operations research approaches in the area of revenue management and pricing, and promote identifying new industries that can benefit, while retaining high professional standards. I appreciate the opportunity to participate and to continue to contribute to its long-term vision and success.”
Walczak earned a Ph.D. in business administration, with a specialty in operations and logistics, from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business, as well as a master’s degree in mathematics.
